Freaking fantastic
I have been made been made head of the disaster committee at the PL where I work. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. However the town is on track to be hit by a hurricane Friday night. Yipee, frying pan -fire sort of thing. I'm also the acting adult services department head since the department head (who would have been my boss) quit. On the bright side I have a nice office with a door and a mini fridge and a staff of 4. On the other hand I have more work to do. Well at least the day goes by quickly.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We don't have a huge staff only 24 paid staff members + 125 volunteers.
I haved managed to PO 2 of the 4 paraprofesionals that work in my department. The other 2 were off today. They don't like the way I weed. I weeded 7 previous Guinness Books. I am of the impression that you only need the most current (I sent the 2003 to circulating collection) that torqued them off. I also took a Barbara Tuchman's The First Salute out of reference and put it in circ. They will either kill me or get used to it. When I am done weeding I can order NEW stuff!
