When I was younger people waited to have children until after marriage, then when someone had a child before they were married it was quietly welcomed. Now we see unmarried persons having children as some sort of status symbol or as a way of saying "look I can do this - I can raise this child all by myself” when they generally fail miserably. This is quite trendy among the Hollywood homosexuals such as Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen Degeneris or however she spells it.
